Colonic Stent

Best for lesions in sigmoid and primary bowel cancer. Much poorer results with tumours growing into the bowel.
Rectal stents are very poorly tolerated by the patients.

Setup

1. Left lateral position on operating table
2. Image intensifier in from left side - lateral view
3. II and Endoscopy screens on patient left, colonoscope tower on right.

Warning

Use an Adult colonoscope
